[DRAFT — needs legal review before launch]

Editorial Policy

The standards every Inforyx story is held to: accuracy, independence, fairness and transparency.

Accuracy first

We publish only what we have verified. Facts are confirmed with primary sources wherever possible: documents, data, official records and people with direct knowledge. When something can't yet be confirmed, we say so plainly. Speed matters to us, but never more than being right.

Independence

Inforyx is editorially independent. Our journalism is not influenced by owners, advertisers, sponsors, governments or political parties. Commercial teams have no say in editorial decisions. See Ownership & Funding.

Fairness and balance

We report without sensationalism. People and organisations who are criticised in a story are given a fair chance to respond before publication, and we report their response. We separate news from opinion and label analysis and opinion clearly.

Sources

We prefer named, on-the-record sources. We grant anonymity only when a source faces real risk and the information is important and can't be obtained any other way; the editor must know the source's identity. We never pay sources for information.

Images, video and AI

We don't manipulate photographs or video in ways that mislead. Illustrations and generated images are labelled as such. We may use AI tools to assist with research, transcription or translation, but a journalist checks every fact and is responsible for every published word.

Sensitive coverage

We follow the law and responsible-reporting norms when covering crime, courts, children, sexual violence, suicide, mental health and communal issues. We don't identify survivors of sexual offences or minors in conflict with the law, and we avoid language that stigmatises any community.

Legal framework

As a digital news publisher in India we follow the Code of Ethics under Part III of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, including the Norms of Journalistic Conduct of the Press Council of India. Complaints about our content can be raised through our Grievance Redressal process.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and say so. See our Corrections Policy.
